Sometimes when I work on my iPad, I want to watch a video. For no reason, the audio in the video doesn't work. When this happens, I hit my iTunes to determine if it is my iPad, or just the video. iTunes plays, and I assume it must be something with the video, and move on.
The other day I was working and discovered multiple videos would not play audio. Once again, I tested other things and the audio worked. Curious about why this happens, I Googled the question, and found the answer-Ah Duh another super easy solution to my user error!
I like to use my iPad side switch to auto lock the rotation of my device. What I discovered is this side switch has two jobs-Auto Lock and Mute. In the iPad Settings under General you can switch the function of the Side Switch from Mute to Lock Rotation. See the screen shot below!
Two More Tips-
To take a screenshot (like the one above), just press and hold the circle menu button and then click your on/off button. The screenshot will be in your camera roll.
I imported the screenshot into Jot, a free whiteboard app, to draw on it. From Jot I emailed the image so I could upload it to this post.
