There are tons of photo editing apps out there! Each one offers a fun and unique way to share your view of the world. When I first learned how to edit photos, I used Fireworks and it was a whole process. I didn't edit very much. With improvements in phone cameras our life is now recorded and shared within seconds. Below are two of my favorites. Enjoy, snap, and share your world!
Instagram-I became an Instagram user a few days ago when I discovered my son had made an Instagram account. I decided I should create an account and learn to use this app to make sure he is being safe and smart online. (Yes, helicopter mom, snooping into the life of my kid) Instagram has 100 million active monthly users and 40 million photos per day are uploaded to Instagram. Instagram is social media for images. Post, edit, like, share all in one quick app. I like Instagram, it also comes with some responsibility. Once again, Instagram is adding to your digital footprint. So proceed with caution and think before you post. It is quick and easy to get started with Instagram. Create a profile and determine if your account is Public or Private. People friend you and follow you. You can link your account to Facebook and Twitter. All these great perks makes clicking, adding fun photo effects and posting super easy!
Pixlromatic-If you have a little more time and want to play with your images a bit more, check out Pixlromatic. Again a fun, quick easy way to edit photos and add some cool effects. The basic app is free and if you want a few more effects, .99 gets you a ton more! With Pixlromatic, you upload or snap a shot and then can add a variety of filters, special effect lighting, and cool frames. After editing is finished, determine the size of your final photo, and then save the image to your camera roll, post it on twitter, mail it, or print it out. I have used this app for over a year and I keep coming back to it. It offers so many options and people are always impressed with the final product! They are constantly asking-"How did you do that?".
With a phone and some apps, everyone can be a photographer!
